San Francisco America’s Cup

As soon as I found out that the America’s Cup was coming to San Francisco in 2013, I made plans to take time off and head down to photograph and experience the event. One of my best friends lives near San Francisco so I was able to arrange a place to stay, which was excellent. I had been working in San Francisco but that project ended, so I was back in Seattle. As I started thinking about it, I tried to figure out how I would get around if I flew down. Anticipating an enormous crowd and horrifying parking, I thought that riding my Ducati would be ideal – a great chance to put some miles on the bike and travel some parts of Washington, Oregon and California I had not seen in awhile.
